Local road systems are vital components of public infrastructure. ASFPM documented the decision-making factors and processes used by five communities, and identified best practices. The case studies characterized how local officials factor in pertinent regulatory requirements, as well as how they consider the full range of direct and indirect costs and benefits associated with the consideration of flood hazards into their decisions.
