The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a leader in the development of engineering modeling tools for mapping flood hazards. Since these tools are developed by the federal government, these tools are in the public domain and available at no cost.
Science and technology for flood hazard identification and flood risk assessments has advanced significantly since the Corps developed the HEC-RAS software. HEC-RAS was first released in the 1995 and as the software has advanced over the last 30 years, the foundation of the code has become dated, making further enhancements more challenging. To meet the demands of today and of the future, it is necessary to invest in the next generation of HEC-RAS software.
This webinar will provide an introduction to HEC-RAS 2025 Alpha, with a live demo that will highlight mesh development, new capabilities such as GPU solver, and other coming attractions.
